New QHC District Stroke Coordinator

On behalf of the QHC team please join us in welcoming Isobel Manzer to the position of QHC District Stroke Coordinator. Isobel is an Allied Health Professional, with clinical background as an Audiologist, and graduate certificates in Project Management and Health Services Administration. Isobel comes to QHC with many years of hospital leadership and project management experience in the areas of medicine, rehabilitation, geriatrics, professional practice and ambulatory care in both academic and community hospital settings. Isobel also has extensive experience working with teams outside of the hospital environment within Home and Community Care as a Director of Clinical Care Programs in Central East. This collective experience combined with Isobel’s most recent contract work with Northumberland Hills Hospital to lead the development of their integrated stroke unit, makes Isobel an ideal person to fulfill the District Stroke Coordinator position for the period of Derk Damron’s secondment to the Regional HIS project. QHC and the Stroke Network of Southeastern Ontario look forward to learning and working with Isobel to continue the good work taking place in the Quinte District to prevent stroke, improve outcomes and enhance the stroke patient experience!
