Target audience: Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Rehabilitation Assistants working in stroke care across Southeastern Ontario
Learning objectives:
By the end of the workshop series, participants will be able to do the following within the scope of their practice role:
- Define mirror visual feedback and describe at least 3 different ways it could be applied within stroke rehabilitation.
- Describe the available evidence for mirror visual feedback in stroke care, and the anticipated or targeted outcomes.
- Identify clients who might benefit from mirror visual feedback, and develop a tailored and graded plan of care.
- Support clients wanting to use mirror visual feedback as a home or supplemental program.
- Educate clients about the risks and benefits of using mirror visual feedback.
- Select and administer relevant outcome measures to monitor the effects of mirror visual feedback.
- Collaborate with other interprofessional team members to optimize the use of mirror visual feedback in their setting.
